Jessica showed a passion and aptitude for performing from a very young age. Born in South Africa, at 3 years old she began her dance training and was selected by her first talent agency. During her school years she worked as a model and in small tv and advertising roles as well as performing at Artscape Opera House and Baxter Theatre in dance roles. After completing her basic education Jessica began work as a dance and drama teacher, using her passion for the arts as a way to bring new education tools to economically disadvantaged and rural schools.
In 2016 Jessica immigrated to Australia and continued her work in the performing arts across the country. She returned to school in 2020 and continues to refine and develop her craft as a vocalist, actor and dancer.
A diverse and driven artist, Jessica fronts a metal band, performs as a drag king, writes original music and develops theatre work from her home in Newcastle. She is thrilled to be a part of the creative team for "The Breaths in Between" and have the opportunity to create positive change and spaces for representation in the performance medium closest to her heart.
